Buenos Aires, November 20 (NA) — Argentina's Minister of Health, Mario Lugones, received today the United States Ambassador to Argentina, Peter Lamelas, to discuss development and investment opportunities in the healthcare sector within the framework of the trade agreement signed between the two countries.

“I received the United States Ambassador to Argentina, Peter Lamelas (@USAmbassadorARG),” the official wrote on his social media account X.

Lugones stated that they “discussed the opportunities of the bilateral relationship and the potential of a common agenda to drive innovation and development in the health sector.”

He also assured that “the agreement between Argentina and the United States on trade and investment constitutes a concrete basis to promote strategic areas that will enhance the modernization of the healthcare system.”

For the Minister of Health, the bilateral agreement is part of “the agenda led by President @JMilei, aimed at reinserting Argentina into the world.”

“Strengthening international cooperation is part of our work to move towards a more orderly and efficient health system, better oriented to respond to the needs of Argentines,” Lugones concluded.
